Glorious colour…

This summer has presented itself as a bit of a challenge in so many ways – organising and managing Taunton Live and Pride Festival emerging from a pandemic and project-managing a variety of arts-based trails… #LoveWINdowS Trail was one devised to inject interest in local businesses by decorating windows along the #Love Wins theme toContinue reading “Glorious colour…”

Piste Map Progress…

Wall-art plan When I first decided to transform our downstairs shower room into a ‘homage’ to our favourite ski resort, I thought vivid blue sky and white mountains and a few ‘runs’, but like the best laid plans….it got a bit out of hand! Cabbages and colours…

October, Autumn, season of mists and mellow fruitfulness…and pink tinged leafed cabbage-style flowers… Having been given a beautiful bouquet of pink/green cabbage flowers with pungent pink asiatic lilies as a birthday gift, it seemed a sin to just arrange them in a vase, and admire them in passing…the colours, the shapes, the strength of stalkContinue reading “Cabbages and colours…”

…and the excitement is nearing its peak!

When, as the artist, you have designed the detail of the ‘look’ for a wedding right from the first ‘Save-the-date’ down to the last announcement board and jar of flowers, the anticipation in the preceding week is almost as heightened as that of the Bride and Groom themselves. When the artist is also the Groom’sContinue reading “…and the excitement is nearing its peak!”

Seascape…

Moving into a new ‘old’ house, one that is a project, to say the least, is an amazing “blank canvas” opportunity… Yesterday I began and completed a giant wave across three canvases to make a huge wall-filler for the bathroom… Pretty pleased with end result… emulsion, chalk, tempera powder and acrylic paint.
